The psychic waitress
Saturday we went to Alan's high school friend's wedding at St. Cecilia's and then the reception at AT&T Park. As the guests walked in to the Club Level of the park, we were handed Garlic Fries in little cups! I thought that was a cute touch. We saw all of Alan's high school friends, most of which we haven't seen since Christmas. So everyone noticed that I had a little belly, including the waiters and waitresses. As I was walking to the bathroom, one of the waitresses pointed at my stomach and said "It's a boy!". The first thing she said to me! haha. Then she said "You're about 6 months, right? You're definitely carrying a boy." Hmm... I guess everyone has their guesses, but I thought it was funny how that was the first thing she said to me when she saw me.
Graduations galore
We went to Ben's graduation at the Greek Theater in Berkeley on Saturday morning. It wasn't as long as I thought it would be and definitely not as hot as mine was, especially since it was a morning graduation. The speeches were entertaining and we cheered loudly as Ben walked across the stage to get his diploma. Congrats Ben!
This weekend we have two more graduations - Mike's and my cousin Jason's. And next month Heidi's in San Diego and my other cousin Jennifer is graduating from UC Davis, but it's the same weekend as Heidi's so we can't go. We'll be there in spirit, though.
Let's go Giants!
We went to the Giants vs. A's game in Oakland on Sunday... and finally the Giants won! We toned it down a little, since we were going to be in enemy territory. I didn't even wear any Giants gear, and Alan only wore his visor. But there were actually a lot of Giants fans at the game, so I didn't feel too out-of-place. But unfortunately, out of the 14 of us that went, only us 2 were Giants fans! So we were just high-fiving each other and no one else. There were some really weird guys in front of us who kept giving each other open-hand slaps on their bodies, so hard that when they took their shirts off you could see red handprints. Weird A's fans! :)
Fudgeanna without the Fudge, please
Afterwards we headed over to Fenton's! And I ordered my Fudgeanna without the Fudge, with caramel instead. I got one scoop of Heath Bar ice cream and one scoop of Toasted Almond. The first one they brought out for me had Fudge, so I sent it back! Our friends said that I gave the waitress a dirty look, but I didn't think I did :) Baby wanted caramel, not fudge! :) Good thing Alan and I shared, cuz I wouldn't have finished it by myself.
Window Shopping at Babies R Us
Last week, Alan and I went to Babies R Us to look around, check out all the merchandise and try to decide what we want to put on our registry. We didn't register yet, but we got to try out different strollers, car seats, cribs, etc. Since we have to pick a neutral theme, there was a limited number of choices that aren't predominantly blue or pink - but we've narrowed it down to two! I'm using the Baby Bargains book that my cousin bought for us to read reviews on the different products. Hopefully we can register soon!
